ERSA i-CON VARIO 2 MK2 Soldering Station

The Ersa i-CON VARIO 2 MK2 is a 200 W multichannel soldering and desoldering station that runs an i-TOOL AIR S and a second tool at once, shifting power between them as the job demands. It covers SMT and through-hole work from 0201 chips up to PLCC 84 packages and high-mass PTH joints. A vacuum pump for desoldering is built in, and the hot air supply runs quiet. Temperature range is 50 to 450°C, or up to 550°C with the i-TOOL AIR S. You adjust settings on a large multifunction display with one-touch push button control, and the station includes USB, an antistatic design, and a fume extraction connection. It’s sold in several tool bundles or as the control station alone.

Features and Highlights

  • Runs a hot air tool and a second tool at the same time.
  • Built-in vacuum pump for desoldering.
  • 50 to 450°C, up to 550°C with the i-TOOL AIR S.
  • USB interface and fume extraction connection.

Ersa i-CON 1 MK2 Soldering Station

The Ersa i-CON 1 MK2 is a 150 W soldering station for SMT and through-hole work in production, rework, and R&D. It runs the 150 W i-TOOL MK2 iron, which heats up in 9 seconds and has a motion sensor that puts it into standby when it’s not moving, saving power and tip life. Temperature range is 150 to 450°C. A one-touch push button and large multifunction display handle the settings, and a visual signal tells you when the optimal process window is reached. The station has an antistatic design and is available with an interface for a fume extraction unit, heating plate, or PC. It’s sold with the iron, as the control station alone, or with the A58 Tip’n’Turn holder.

Features and Highlights

  • 150 W with the i-TOOL MK2 iron.
  • Heats up in 9 seconds.
  • Motion sensor standby saves power and tip life.
  • Optional interface for fume extraction, heating plate, or PC.

Ersa i-CON VARIO 4 MK2 Soldering Station

The Ersa i-CON VARIO 4 MK2 is a 500 W multichannel station that runs an i-TOOL AIR S hot air tool and three other soldering or desoldering tools at once, with power management that moves output to whichever tool is drawing it. Two large multifunction displays and a one-touch push button cover the settings for all four tools. The desoldering vacuum pump is built in, and the hot air tool’s blow air supply is close to silent. Temperature range is 150 to 450°C for the irons and 50 to 550°C for the hot air tool. USB, an antistatic design, and a fume extraction interface are standard. It ships with the AIR S and i-TOOL MK2, with the CHIP TOOL VARIO and X-TOOL VARIO added, or as a bare control station.

Features and Highlights

  • Runs four tools at the same time, including hot air.
  • 500 W with dynamic power distribution.
  • Two large multifunction displays.
  • Desoldering vacuum pump built in.

Ersa i-CON TRACE Soldering Station

The Ersa i-CON TRACE is a 150 W soldering station with WLAN, Bluetooth, and a LAN card built in, so every hand soldering job can be logged and traced. It’s IPC/CFX certified and connects to an MES through the free ERSA TRACE COCKPIT software, which lets you define a process, have operators follow it, and document the process data. There’s no display on the station itself. An LED interface runs on a green means go scheme, and setup happens in the Ersa TRACE APP over WLAN. The i-TOOL TRACE iron uses the patented Tip’n’Turn system, so tips swap fast and are replaced separately. Temperature range is 50 to 450°C, and the station is antistatic.

Features and Highlights

  • WLAN, Bluetooth, and LAN built in.
  • IPC/CFX certified with MES connection.
  • Runs from the Ersa TRACE APP.
  • Tip’n’Turn tips swap fast and replace separately.
