In 2022, 3M announced the discontinuation of their Novec™ Fluids by the end of 2025. (Link to Press Release Here: 3M to Exit PFAS Manufacturing by the End of 2025 – Dec 20, 2022 ). Why The Change?
3M has announced that the company is stepping back from producing these chemicals due to changing regulations of PFAS, and stakeholder expectations. PFAS are used in the manufacturing process of many important technologies such as medical devices, semiconductors, batteries, planes, etc. The deadline to submit orders was March 31, 2025.
